The project is based on the idea of not constructing new buildings. It is believed that adding a canopy to cover the entire area would create more problems than it would solve, contributing to a loss of urban identity. The approach focuses on enhancing what already exists, making modifications, repairs, and additions only where strictly necessary. The existing canopy and kiosks are therefore preserved and repurposed for covered markets, recreational activities, and temporary events. The shared space includes the bus mobility area, where pedestrian traffic remains the priority. New trees are introduced to define the square, both at its center and along the perimeter.
